Oleksii survived 11 months of torture in Russia. After 33 operations and long recovery, he shares his experience in Nijmegen and has an important message for Europe, he will also be answering questions from the audience. Oleksiy’s story is included in the book “True Courage” by Joris Voorhoeve, former Dutch Minister of Defence, which can be bought after the event. Free entry, donations for the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers are welcome during the event.
